A documentary photograph captures daily life in an impoverished urban neighborhood. A dilapidated brick apartment building with broken windows and peeling paint dominates the scene. Multiple clotheslines stretch between windows, holding worn clothing. A metal trash bin overflows onto the cracked concrete sidewalk below. The entrance shows exposed wooden boards where the door should be. Graffiti covers the lower portion of the building walls. Black and white documentary photography with high contrast lighting and grainy film texture.
