In the distant background of this city view is a sculpture seated atop a tall pillar that stretches up to the clouds. In the foreground the road is wet from a recent rain making its surface appear reflective. There are people that are walking along the road and at least one holding an umbrella. There are also multiple horses and carriages travelling along the road which leads to the background and the statue. On either side of the painting are large stone archways with pillars.
