A bald female Delaque operative kneels in the center of a cross-shaped corridor, black vinyl robes gathered around her ankles. Her coat is tightly sealed from hip to shoulder with blunt iron buckles, the collar pressed high against her neck. A thick cable feeds from the back of her respirator into the inner lining of the coat. She holds a scoped flechette pistol braced over her knee, one eye aligned through the optic, the other glowing faintly with synthetic light. Nothing moves around her but the ambient drip of condensation and the breath-hiss of her mask.
