A team of scientists in a sleek, silver spacecraft hovers near one of Jupiter’s moons, now fragmented by an unknown force. A swirling rift floats above the shattered moon’s surface, a jagged hole in reality surrounded by shimmering, multi-colored light. Small pieces of the moon’s debris are sucked into the rift and disappear, leaving trails of quantum energy. One scientist, suited up, steps out of the ship, tethered by a glowing line, to retrieve data from a nearby beacon. Just as they reach it, the rift pulses, emitting a wave of intense light and gravity that strains the tether, threatening to pull the scientist into its uncharted depths.
