This is a polaroid of a close up of half of a man's face. He is crudely augmented with primitive electronics. Behind the man is an industrial cyberpunk port vista, seen from a dozen stories up. From behind the man's head a matrix of glowing filaments emerge and spread across the port. The port is described like this: The sky above the port was the colour of television, tuned to a dead channel. The man is described like this: His eyes were unstable crystal, vibrating with a frequency whose name was rain and the sound of trains, suddenly sprouting a humming web of delicate glass spines.
