A single instant-film portrait photograph of ABSarah, a fictional 19-year-old northern English woman with fair freckled skin, grey-green eyes and long auburn hair with pale-blonde face-framing streaks, sitting on the edge of her unmade bed in her northern English terrace, wearing a black cropped tee and soft grey joggers. Her expression is a dry raised eyebrow directed towards her best friend. The photographic image has the visible character of an instant print: muted warm colour, slightly green-grey shadows, creamy highlights, soft fine detail, subtle chemical mottling and a thick off-white border with a deeper blank lower margin. Frame it as one flat print filling the image, without hands or a surrounding tabletop. Her auburn hair, blonde streaks and freckled face remain recognisable within the softly rendered photograph.
