msmoeb, A richly colored Nordic fantasy illustration of an adult Viking warrior woman kneeling in coastal grass, shown from a low three-quarter angle in a close vertical composition. Her hips rest toward the viewer’s left, her nearer thigh extends diagonally across the foreground toward a bent knee at the lower right, and her lower leg folds back along the ground toward the left. Her torso twists toward the viewer, shoulders drawn back, chin lifted as she gazes upward toward the upper right with a quiet, proud and contemplative expression. Clear icy-blue eyes, strong dark lashes, softly raised eyebrows, a small closed mouth and abundant freckles across her nose and cheeks. Fair skin with warm pink blush on her cheeks, shoulders and knees. Golden-blonde hair sweeps back from her forehead into thick braids draped over her chest, with a loose tied section behind her shoulder and several windblown strands. Small silver hoops decorate her visible ear. Dark blue-gray tribal tattoos form a bold spiral on her nearer shoulder, broad bands around her upper arm and angular chevrons across her exposed thigh. She wears a fitted ivory wrap top, a dark brown leather shoulder mantle edged in thick cream-and-gray fur, a short weathered leather skirt with stitched panels, and a broad decorated belt carrying small pouches and hanging straps. Linen bindings wrap her forearms and lower legs, accented by fluffy fur cuffs. Her farther hand grips the shaft of a long battle axe beside her face on the viewer’s right, while her nearer hand steadies its lower section beside her knee. The wooden shaft rises almost vertically past her head to a carved animal-head pommel. Its enormous crescent-shaped steel axe blade rests beside her bent knee at the lower-right edge, decorated with engraved Nordic patterns and cool blue metallic reflections. Behind her, red-brown Viking longships with carved dragon prows sit in a cold turquoise fjord beneath towering slate-blue mountains. Soft cream clouds cross a pale blue sky, and green coastal grasses surround her folded legs. Crisp expressive ink contours, controlled cel shading, softly blended skin tones and detailed leather, fur and metal textures create a colorful illustrated fantasy adventure scene.
