A painted comic cover in the manner of Alex Ross, Kingdom Come and Marvels: not a photograph, not a digital beauty painting, not cel. Tight pencil underpainting still visible at the jaw and the cloth edge, opaque gouache and acrylic over it, bristle marks in every fold, skin built from warm gray then a thin glaze, a solemn modeled face, heavy painted shadow, varnish, brush strokes, photorealistic paint. Chest-up, from slightly above, three-quarter, she sits forward on the edge of the chaise with one hand on the cushion beside her and the other lifting a lock of hair, lips curved, eyes on the viewer. She is Blink, an adult woman in her early 20s with long magenta hair over her shoulders, light-pink skin on every part of her, prominent dark magenta-pink facial markings, pointed ears, green eyes, a magenta diamond birthmark on her forehead with an upward line over each eyebrow, soft magenta lips and green-tinted eyeshadow, wearing a green silk lounge robe belted with a red sash over a green bodysuit. Her colors hold exactly under the glazes: light-pink skin, dark magenta-pink facial markings and forehead diamond that are never green, magenta hair, green eyes, and green with red in her clothes. She lounges in the Timebroker's briefing chamber on a padded crimson chaise, beside the glowing Tallus wristband on a brass stand, a stack of mission folders and a cracked glass hologram globe; the Tallus throws green light up her face. Heavy painted shadow: one strong warm key from above, the rest in deep modeled dark. She is an adult woman, fully clothed, with her outfit on. She has a fresh, youthful face and the look of a woman in her early 20s. She is very sexy, alluring and confident, yet fully clothed, her outfit's neckline cut low and open, showing cleavage.
