A messy, energetic character sketch on off-white bond paper: loose searching graphite lines, overlapping contours, construction ovals and gesture lines left in, smudges and eraser marks, fast hatching, and colored pencil and marker scribbled in where her colors go. Full body, worm's-eye view, she leans one hip against the niche wall with her arms loose at her sides and embers in her palms, chin down, looking down at us. She is Volcana, an adult woman in her early 20s with warm light skin on every part of her, long orange hair falling past her shoulders, dark brown eyes, deep coral lips and warm copper eyeshadow, wearing a dark red draped dress with a red jacket. Colored pencil and marker keep her colors exactly: long orange hair, dark brown eyes, and dark red and red in her clothes with a molten orange glow. A carved stone niche in a volcanic cave temple: black basalt reliefs, glowing lava cracks and ash drifting like snow. Shading by fast hatching; light from above. She is an adult woman, fully clothed, with her outfit on and closed. DC_Comics_Volcana
