A fully painted prestige comic-book cover in opaque gouache and acrylic over a tight graphite underdrawing that still shows at the jaw and cloth edges, painted from a live model, bristle marks in every fold, warm gray underpainting glazed up to true skin color, varnished surface, monumental realism. Chest-up, from slightly above, three-quarter, she sits up straight on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other and one hand resting at her collarbone, a slow smolder, eyes on the viewer. She is Volcana, an adult woman in her early 20s with warm light skin on every part of her, long orange hair falling past her shoulders, dark brown eyes, deep coral lips and warm copper eyeshadow, wearing a dark red satin dress with a deep neckline and a red jacket slipped off one shoulder. Her colors hold exactly under the glazes: long orange hair, dark brown eyes, and dark red and red in her clothes with a molten orange glow. She sits on a black leather sofa in a penthouse above a burning skyline, beside a glass of amber whiskey on a steel table, a cast-iron lamp and a wall of red-lit windows. Heavy chiaroscuro: one strong warm key from above and deep painted shadow. She is an adult woman, fully clothed, with her outfit on and closed. DC_Comics_Volcana
