an intimate close-up from a cinematic drama showing an old fisherman in his seventies sitting at a small kitchen table late at night, his weathered face deeply lined, a white stubble beard, thick wool sweater in faded navy, his rough hands wrapped around a chipped enamel mug as he stares at a letter lying in front of him. A single bare bulb hangs above him and throws warm light onto his forehead and knuckles while the rest of the room falls into soft brown darkness, rain runs down the black window behind him, the camera sits at table height slightly to his left, tight vertical framing from the chest up with his eyes on the upper third, shallow depth of field, a heavy and tender mood, film grain, 85mm, shot on ALEXA 65
