A drowned shrine rising from a still black lake, its red gates half submerged and its roof covered in lotus pads and pale fungus. A single kappa sits on the broken stairs with its head bowed, holding a cracked ceramic bowl glowing with teal water. Thin mist hangs over the surface, and the reflections below show a shrine that is intact and brightly lit, with a crowd of faceless figures gathered in front of it. Teal, black and soft vermilion palette with a small warm lantern glow. Quiet eerie Japanese dark fantasy scene, mirrored composition, fine water detail, vertical composition.
