A medium shot, eye-level front view of a young girl standing waist-deep in tall green grass, her short black bob and straight bangs rendered in crisp cel-shaded planes, a few stray strands lifted across her forehead. She leans her torso slightly to the left, right arm raised with the palm pressed flat against the top of her head and the elbow flared outward, while her left hand curls around the brown leather strap of a silver-and-black film camera resting against her chest. She wears a white short-sleeved blouse with a soft rounded collar, a purple-and-pink plaid bow tie at the throat, and a matching plaid pleated skirt below. Her dark eyes crease into a bright open-mouthed smile aimed straight at the lens. Behind her a cloudless deep blue sky sits above a dark blurred tree line, blades of grass rising out of focus across the foreground in clean linework. Hard afternoon sunlight from the upper left rims her hair and shoulder in warm flat highlights, laying crisp cel shadows beneath her chin, and loose hair and grass blades sway in the breeze.
