COT, 4lt4r, a broad ruined chapel opens along a flooded center aisle bordered by rows of aged wooden pews. Massive branching growths twist upward beside the seating and merge into the high Gothic ribs overhead. Numerous wall-mounted flames illuminate weathered limestone piers, carved arches, and hanging burgundy banners marked with pale crosses. At the distant terminus, several shallow steps lead to an ornate sacramental altar positioned beneath a brilliant red traceried window. Dense emerald haze gathers around the dais and spills toward the nave, while damp paving stones produce elongated reflections of candles and colored glass. Side recesses contain devotional furnishings and dark timber fittings.
