The foreground is covered by broken concrete slabs, scattered rubble, fractured boards, and thick accumulated ice. Across the middle ground, a continuous dark wooden wall base runs beneath heavily cracked plaster and exposed concrete. On the left, a recessed rectangular framed panel occupies the wall between two massive square concrete columns. At center, a low rectangular wooden service counter projects from the wall beneath a shallow recessed opening. On the right, a tall dark doorway opens through the wall beside another concrete column and leads into an unlit interior passage. Three large circular metal ventilation fans are mounted high across the wall, one left, one center, and one right. Heavy horizontal ceiling beams span overhead.
