EDSOC, Empty Deep-sea Submarine Observation Chamber, a dark circular industrial observation room built into an aging deep-sea vessel, facing a colossal octopus through a massive round reinforced viewing window. The wet steel floor fills the foreground with a large circular drainage grate at its center, while worn control consoles, analog gauges, pipes, valves, cables, and mechanical panels line both sides of the chamber. The huge metal-framed viewport dominates the middle ground, revealing the octopus directly outside, its broad head centered behind the glass and long tentacles spreading across the underwater view. Dark riveted steel ribs and curved structural beams surround the window. Cold blue ocean light pours through the glass and reflects across wet metal surfaces, contrasted by dim warm amber instrument lamps.
