ECSC, w1d0w, an austere medieval stone prison cell carved beneath an ancient fortress, representing a harsh pre-industrial world built for confinement rather than comfort. The foreground is occupied by two rough masonry sleeping platforms covered with worn straw and dark wool blankets resting on a damp stone floor. In the center of the room, a weathered round wooden shield leans against the rear wall beside scattered clay vessels, while heavy wooden chests, barrels, and simple storage containers line the sides. The background is dominated by a thick stone wall pierced by a small barred window that admits pale daylight into the otherwise dark chamber. Massive curved masonry vaults span the ceiling, with iron rings, chains, and restraints fixed into the side walls as permanent architectural features.
