An artfully crafted Gothic cathedral, the building is characterized by its vertical orientation and the general upward trend of all elements. Structurally, this is achieved with the help of pointed arches and tall towers. Through-the-wall carving of the towers is used, as well as a huge number of stone ornaments: sharp spires, decorative pinnacles with cruciform flowers on top and lancet windows with stained glass. Fantastic creatures crowd the capitals of the columns, while chimeras and gargoyles guard the roof or break out of the walls of the building. The walls in the Gothic building are practically absent, they are replaced by rows of columns with arches, combined into galleries. The through-thread turns the design into an elegant light lace. It seems that somewhere here the walls themselves give off the echoes of groans.
