Josey is an 18-year old woman, a fresh army recruit. She is blonde with hair cropped very short, athletic, and with small breasts and hips. She has a bit of the "butch" look, with tanned skin and strong tan lines at the bust and pelvis. She has a natural look with no makeup and no jewelry. Her hair is messed up and very dirty, uncombed. The setting is an army boot camp. Josey stands nude in the center of the image, aimed to the right side of the frame, holding her rifle high above her head with arms extended. One hand holds each end of the rifle, so that the rifle is horizontal in the upper portion of the frame. She is balancing with difficulty on one leg, with her other leg raised (bent at the knee) in some kind of punishment or disciplinary action. She is wearing military dog tags around her neck. The skin on her body all over is messy and real, and a big smear of dark mud covers one entire side of her torso. The camera zooms into Josey's torso, she occupies the main part of the frame. Her legs are clipped off the bottom of the frame. It's raining and in the background in the open area we see the rest of the female army recruits doing pushups in the mud, dirty and exhausted. A female African American sergeant with short cut hair stands just to the left of Josey and behind her, shouting. In the far left corner of the tent, a senior male senior officer in crisp format uniform takes an interested peek at Josey.
