V67 Zenith, zenith light, vertical halo. An ancient astronomical calendar engraved on the stone floor of a deserted Italian piazza. The sun is exactly at the zenith, so the engraved lines and zodiac symbols cast no elongated shadows – only tiny dark dots directly beneath the raised edges of the carvings. A faint vertical halo hovers above the center of the calendar, where a brass gnomon marks the noon point. The surrounding cobblestones are bleached by midday light. No people. Clean, geometric, timeless.
