Stock photograph, captured from the interior of an economy class cabin through a thick, oval airline window with visible scratches and condensation frosting the edges. The view looks out over the vibrating silver aluminum skin of the starboard wing. Perched mid-wing, a 38-year-old male sits cross-legged on a secured red and white gingham blanket that flutters fiercely at the corners. He has receding dark brown hair whipped back by the velocity and wears a heavy grey wool cardigan over a white t-shirt. His expression is placid and contemplative as he gazes down at a ceramic plate holding a triangular sandwich, ignoring the passenger viewpoint entirely. His hands, weathered and textured, carefully steady a thermos flask against the wind. Beside him, a wicker hamper is duct-taped to the metal rivets. The lighting is harsh, direct high-altitude sunlight, creating deep, sharp shadows behind the man and casting a glare on the scratched plexiglass of the window in the foreground. Below, a carpet of dense, cotton-like clouds stretches to the curvature of the earth.
