In the middle ground, on the right side of the valley, is the fortress-city of Minas Ithil, the Tower of the Moon. The city is built of white stone and is set into the face of the white-grey cliffs. It emanates a soft, white glow. The structure consists of a fortified base with battlements and arched windows, from which rises a very tall, slender, multi-sectioned tower. The top of the tower is an ornate, crown-like lantern that shines with a bright, white light. A pale, glowing path or stream winds through the dark, rocky floor of the valley. A stone bridge with multiple arches crosses this chasm, leading from the valley towards the city's lower levels. Patches of white mist or fog cling to the lower parts of the mountains and the valley floor.
