A Golden Sun style illustration of a fantasy soldier in armor. The soldier's head is protected by a rimmed kettle hat helmet that covers his face in shadow, not to make him mysterious but to make him generic and replaceable. He has a single piece breastplate and mail sleeves over the gambeson on his torso. His plain brown trousers and boots with puttee contrast the well armored top half. He holds a long spear braced against the ground as though to stop a charging threat and has a long kriegsmesser on his waist. The scene is in an open field with no other combatants. The atmosphere is that of a generic soldier engaged against an offscreen threat.
